Let’s play: tap into the wisdom of your body as a force for activist self-care and cultural critique.

You’ve heard that these times are dire and urgent, right? So isn’t it time we had some fun? Back due to popular demand, this hands- hearts- and bodies-on workshop returns for the second year to explore play and sacred clowning as tools for social permaculture. Endless urgency and intellectual seriousness are symptoms of a mechanistic, burn-out activist culture. Social sustainability requires different skills than those practiced within the Western capitalist paradigm. Forget those creepy clowns from childhood nightmares – come learn how to use the craft of clowning and play to bring life and joy into our movements. Play facilitates honest cultural critique and creates space for creative alternatives. And, it’s very fun. Notes: No experience necessary. Come especially if you have no experience.

Join this interactive workshop with Co-Directors of the Ecology of Leadership to explore how we can root our efforts, actions, and leadership – in our own lives and on behalf of all life – in the power of love, in beauty, and in grace.

With many of our hearts stretched and breaking in these turbulent times, what is the most potent inner source for our leadership? How do we find, cultivate, and lead from that source, while composting the old stories, patterns, and structures that don’t support and serve life – within us and around us? What kind of leadership arises in deep contact with the living earth and in communion with a circle of trusted allies that help us to do our most important – and often vulnerable – inner work? And how can we root our efforts and actions – in our own lives and on behalf of all life – in the power of love, in beauty, and in grace? Join Ecology of Leadership Co-Directors, Christopher Kuntzsch and Katia Sol, for this engaging and participatory workshop that will give you an opportunity to reflect on your own path and leadership journey and connect with others asking similar questions.

Systemic racism has disconnected white folks from our cultures, our spirituality, and therefore: systemic racism has disconnected and disconnects us from our humanity. White antiracism is a commitment to face and begin to heal ancestral trauma and violence.

In order for white people to show up, we need spiritual practices of wellness, healing and shared culture to ground us and support us. The journey of liberation is a spiritual journey.
