Come learn how these grassroots global convergences are organized, what the challenges are for host organizations, and contribute your ideas of how to keep them strong and resilient in the future.

Attending the International Permaculture Convergences (IPC) since 2005, Margie Bushman & Wes Roe are founding members of the Friends of the International Permaculture Convergences (FIPC), and the International Permaculture Convergence Council (IPCC). Recently returned from IPC India, they will share their experiences from this exciting event where nearly 1000 people from around the world attended. They will also share the news of the next IPC in Argentina in 2020.
The International Permaculture Convergences are the lifeblood of the global permaculture movement. Started in the early 1980’s when permaculture was still relatively unknown, IPCs are now a bi-annual event hosted by a different permaculture organization in a different country and region of the world each time. We learn in the deepest way what our fellow global citizens and permaculturists are experiencing as societies around the world enter in an era of interconnected challenges. Participants from many parts of the world come ready to share their skills, projects & knowledge. With as many as 70 countries attending there is a diversity of participants, for a diversity of ideas, resulting in a wonderful diversity of solutions.

Come learn how these grassroots global convergences are organized, what the challenges are for host organizations, and how you might participate.
