Nils Palsson

Nils Palsson is Communications Coordinator at Transition US, and a founding member of Transition Lake County in rural Northern California. He is a father, author, teacher, radio host, Bernie Delegate and former candidate for U.S. Congress, with a passion for building bridges from the world of Transition and Permaculture to the wider movement for social, racial, environmental and economic justice — scaling up our movement and creating a world of thriving resilience for all. He lives in the North Bay Area, and just completed a Master of Fine Arts degree at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. In 2015, Nils was displaced by the historic Valley Fire of Northern California, and during the disaster he initiated a grassroots response effort using the local community radio station, KPFZ. He is passionate about applying the permaculture lens to our work in building resilient community and just political and legal systems that serve our planet and people.
