I have been living simply and environmentally, and working for fundamental social change as a consultant, leader, staffmember, board member and volunteer for local, regional, state, national and international movements, since 1981. I directed national citizen training programs for coalitions of faith communities, directed Greenpeace USA‘s grassroots action network, helped 350.org expand globally, and helped over 600 communities engage a broader range of neighbors in positive action. I am a leading trainer for the global Transition Towns movement, which has influenced thousands of communities, businesses, governments and organizations in 43 countries.
