Elaine is a Staff Instructor at the Breema Center in Oakland and has benefited from practicing Breema for 24 years. She has taught workshops at many locations around the U.S., including at Omega Institute and Esalen. After taking permaculture and homesteading workshops for a number of years, she received her PDC two years ago, studying with Toby Hemenway. An organic gardener for over 40 years, she is creating an urban permaculture farm in East Oakland with chickens, fruiting trees and shrubs, and water-catchment to demonstrate resiliency to others.
