Judy Hoaglund has studied and practiced shamanic arts with indigenous teachers in North, Central and South America for more than 25 years. In 2001 she began an extensive apprenticeship into Peruvian shamanism, with don Oscar Miro-Quesada, becoming a sanctioned teacher of the lineage. She is currently a senior instructor of the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition: Cross-Cultural Shamanic Arts for Personal and Planetary Renewal. Judy is very active in teaching apprenticeships, workshops and classes in the U.S. and Canada, in addition to her work as a ceremonialist. She lives in west Sonoma County where she maintains a private healing practice.
