Nina has over ten years of experience working with water systems locally and abroad. From rainwater harvesting systems in Uganda, to water filtration devices in India, Nina has a worldwide perspective about water. Her Master’s thesis was focused on treating and recycling Palestinian sewage water to be repurposed for irrigation. Here in Oakland, Nina works with Greywater Action to help educate and empower people to build a sustainable water culture and infrastructure. She leads Laundry-to-Landscape workshops, in which the participants learn how to set up a system to divert laundry greywater to become irrigation water in their backyards.
