Calgary manages innovative shared spaces and builds ecosystems where communities can flourish. She is currently the Operations Manager at Impact Hub Oakland, a coworking community and space for changemakers and innovators located in downtown Oakland.  Her work and dedication to community building and inclusivity has contributed to making Impact Hub Oakland one of the most admired and recognized coworking spaces globally.  A long time “Hubber”, Calgary spent a year in Australia at the Impact Hub Melbourne in 2012-13 as a community ambassador, and was part of the original team at Impact Hub San Francisco serving as their Events Director for 2 years from 2010-2012 managing and co-producing events that expanded Impact Hub’s brand and reach both in the Bay Area and nationally.

Over the past year, Calgary has become passionately involved in permaculture and building more resilient communities for all.  She is currently receiving her permaculture design training at the Regenerative Design Institute in Bolinas, CA and is a member of the Black Permaculture Network.
