This ceremonial offering is one that is traditionally celebrated throughout the Andes of Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador. In Andean cosmology, the entire physical plane, including Mother Earth and all living things, are continuously brought into being, and nurtured, by sentient beings in the Spirit Realm. Andean peoples therefore perform rituals in which sacred
offerings, or “feedings”, are made to those spiritual essences most closely assisting humanity. This shamanic ceremony, known as Haywa in Quechua, or Despacho in Spanish, helps us to maintain both personal and planetary balance with the Divine, or Spirit Realm, by ensuring that sacred reciprocity and gratitude have been offered. You are invited to participate in this ceremony and learn to offer sacred payment and acknowledgement to the spiritual beings that are the sources of manifested creation’s health and well-being.

This is a hands-on, interactive workshop taught by Judy Hoaglund. All participants will be actively involved in creating what is known as a despacho or haywa. Participants will learn how to perform this simple ceremony to bring balance into their own lives, their communities and our planet.
