Megan O’Neil is the Project Manager at the Local Clean Energy Alliance, where she has helped build a county-wide coalition of over 50 organizations supporting a Community Choice program that brings real benefits to our communities. She also coordinates the Shared Solar Collaborative, which seeks to advance the design, development, and building of community-owned and controlled shared solar energy projects. Megan joined the Local Clean Energy Alliance with over seven years of experience focusing on energy efficiency, environmental issues, sustainable development, and finance, primarily in Asia. After several years in Mongolia and Nepal, Megan is happy to be back in her hometown of Oakland, contributing to climate change solutions rooted in local empowerment and social, environmental, and climate justice.
