Marissa (she/her) is a holistic womb wellness guide and educator. Her path began with birth work, training as a doula and then going on to study traditional Midwifery with Whapio of The Matrona. After attending births as a doula for a couple of years, and doing a brief but intensive internship with Ruro, a midwife in Peru, she went on to study with Rachelle Garcia Seliga of Innate Traditions Postpartum Care, and soon realized that her calling is to tend to the whole spectrum of womb wellness at this, the true meaning of traditional midwifery is womb to tomb community care. Though she is not actively attending births at this time, her midwifery studies with Whapio have deeply informed the way that she does all of her work: on a foundation of trust for the vitality of life, the brilliance of bodies, and the autonomy of people. She has also studied with Tami Lyn Kent, founder of Holistic Pelvic Care. As well as combines her studies of energy work, herbalism, yoga and earth-based practices to inform her work.
