Eric Jordan took his first Tai Chi class in 2011 at SRJC. From there his interest grew until it peaked when a shoulder injury stubbornly refused to heal and he found Tai Chi and Qi Gong to be the only things that helped. That set off an ongoing journey deep into his cultural heritage to the Wudang Mountains of China and back. Upon returning, he won Grand Champion for a Tai Chi saber performance at the 2015 Sonoma County Family Martial Arts Tournament. He now focuses on deepening the internal skill of connecting breath and energy with internal body spirals in accordance with the Chinese Daoist principle of Hun Yuan, a primordial connection to the cosmos.
